Is this program co-ed?

Currently our homes are strictly single gender accommodation. At the moment our accommodation and program only caters for males. We are always looking to expand our program and future directions include a women’s refuge and women’s program also.

What do I need to pay?

There are no upfront fees. There is a fortnightly board and lodgings rental charge to be paid, which covers accommodation, food and organised outings. Most residents pay this from their Centrelink benefit.

How long does the program take?

Our program at The Restoration Centre is unique to each individual. There is no set program length. It is expected that participants will be a part of our program for at least 12 months, however this may be longer as each individual is unique and therefore each program is tailored for them, taking into account their history, requirements, challenges they face and their desired outcomes.

What does it mean by “Christian-based” program?

TRC is a faith based program as we believe that it is the truth that sets us free.  You don’t have to be a Christian in order to become a participant, but you will need to be open minded in order to change your life. You are welcome to ask questions on your journey of truth.

Our program milestones are both practical and holistic in their approach and focuses on restoring people to live victoriously in all areas of their life.  When you apply to our program we will discuss with you your individual needs and if we are the best program for you.

Can I keep in touch with family & friends while I am in the program?

Ultimately we are here to restore relationships and love seeing people come back together with their families.  This is a critical aspect in our residents achieving their milestones. However, during the initial phase of the program contact with families and friends is restricted.

What about medication I need to take? Can I still take it while I am participating in the program?

This is on a case-by-case basis and depends on the type of medication and how it is taken. Each of your prescription medicines will be checked and we will consult with professional medical doctors during the initial application process.
